The first edition of the EBS online debates entitled ‘How to reboot the European economy: Towards a green, digital and more resilient Union’ was a great success with over 1350 unique participants.

Thanks to our speakers: Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for the Internal Market; Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice; Ilham Kadri, CEO Solvay, Corporate Member of CSR Europe; Jacques Vandermeiren, CEO, Port of Antwerp; Sébastien Petithuguenin, Director General of PAPREC, EuRIC; Jason Warner, President Europe, ABInBev and moderator Dan Michaels, Brussels Bureau Chief, The Wall Street Journal.

Over the 1h30 debate, the speakers discussed Europe’s Recovery Plan, how the business community is committed to Europe’s recovery and the Green Deal Agenda. There was an obvious sense of ‘European spirit’ conveyed in the exchanges, and an overwhelming feeling of collaboration.

EBS is proud to promote the public-private dialogue that is especially necessary in these challenging times.

We would like to thank all participants who followed along and shared their thoughts on Twitter. A big thank you to our partner Huawei Europe and strategic partner Tata Consultancy Services Europe for their support.
