Launch of the SHERPA Advocacy Mandate

On 7 November, 2019 as a part of the Think Digital Summit,  the SHERPA project kicked off the advocacy mandate with a lunch chaired and  organised by the European Business Summits.

The lunch was attended by an impressive number of Members of European Parliament in addition to representatives from the European Commission, permanent representation of Estonia to the EU and more.

Presentations were delivered by  Laurence Brooks, professor of technology and social responsibility at De Montford University and Renate Klar, Communications Specialist at EUREC (European Network of Research Ethics Committees).

This initial event serves as the beginning of a continual conversation between policymakers and the  SHERPA project. The project will eventually deliver a series of comprehensive guidelines to the parties interested.
