UNLOCKING THE FULL POTENTIAL OF EU-TÜRKİYE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP
The second edition of the EU-Türkiye Business Summit will bring together leading voices from business, government, and civil society to explore how the EU and Türkiye can transform deep economic interdependence into strategic resilience. Against a backdrop of geopolitical shocks, industrial competition, energy insecurity, and fast-moving technology regulation, the Summit will focus on practical ways to strengthen cooperation across trade, industry, energy, and digital governance.
The discussions will move from policy ambition to business implementation, examining how both sides can improve the day-to-day functioning of the Customs Union, build cleaner and more competitive production networks, protect critical energy routes, and accelerate trusted AI adoption. By connecting regulatory trust with investment, innovation, and strategic diplomacy, the Summit aims to support a more predictable, resilient, and future-ready EU-Türkiye economic partnership.
Anchored in a relationship that dates back to the 1963 Association Agreement and strengthened by the 1995 Customs Union, EU-Türkiye economic ties remain a cornerstone of regional cooperation. Three decades after the Customs Union entered into force, the partnership now faces a new trade era shaped by carbon rules, digitalisation, industrial policy, supply chain pressures, and energy security. The time is therefore ripe not only to reaffirm this strategic relationship, but to recalibrate it for a more complex and competitive global environment.
Our mission is twofold: we aim to bring politics and business together in order to provide them with an opportunity to debate and pursue their common goals, giving a voice to all sides of the debate. The other priority of EBS is to provide European institutions with a platform where they can place their top priorities in the spotlight and advance the development of new pieces of legislation through discussion with a variety of actors and stakeholders.
